In the intelligent center of Fugang container collection in Jiangyin Port Area, the “smart port” including the automatic track crane system is reshaping the traditional operation scenes of the port area, such as remote control of quayside bridge and tally.
“One person can supervise six track cranes at the same time, which is worry-free and convenient.” Sitting in a spacious and bright air-conditioned room, the operator of the automatic track crane said with emotion that the blind spots that used to be judged only by experience can now be easily identified with the help of 68 cameras carried by the automatic track crane.
The increasingly safe and efficient operation scene is the epitome of Jiangyin Port’s efforts to build a world-class deep-water port.
As a national first-class open port, an important hub port for jointly building the Belt and Road Initiative, and one of the “two sets and two scattered” core ports built by Fujian Province, Jiangyin Port focuses on the development direction of new quality productivity such as infrastructure upgrading, green upgrading of equipment, and automation information technology, and comprehensively improves the level of operation automation, whole-process visualization and service facilitation, and continuously enhances the port service capacity.
“At present, the port area has three automatic remote control quayside cranes, an automatic track crane yard of 72,000 square meters and six automatic track cranes, which can not only realize fully automatic loading and unloading of internal container trucks and stacking in the box area, but also semi-automatic loading and unloading of external container trucks.” The relevant person in charge of Fugang Container said that the application of 5G, AI, big data and other technologies in the port area has achieved breakthroughs in key areas of production links such as production operating system, smart port cloud platform, intelligent tally, intelligent gate and intelligent approval of dangerous goods, which greatly enhanced the comprehensive competitiveness of Fuzhou Port.
The power of wisdom not only promotes the upgrading of port construction, but also encourages the innovation of supervision methods.
In the first half of this year, 2,989 vehicles exported by SAIC MG were shipped to Europe on ro-ro ships, which not only helped Jiangyin Port Area to exceed 10,000 ro-ro export commercial vehicles this year, but also set a new record for the export quantity of single-batch new energy vehicles in this port area.
Behind the ever-increasing export volume of new energy vehicles is a constantly optimized business environment.
In view of the characteristics of tight export schedule and high timeliness of new energy vehicles, Fuzhou Customs Office in Fuqing has formulated a package of rapid customs clearance measures: setting up a special window for automobile business and comprehensively using the service platform of “internet+ customs” to provide enterprises with convenient tax rate and exchange rate inquiry services; By implementing measures such as pre-appointment inspection and on-call inspection, enterprises can make an appointment with the terminal for arrival time according to their own production plans and flexibly arrange loading and leaving the factory in the reservoir area; Customs clearance facilities such as “declare in advance” and “arrival for inspection and release” ensure no waiting for ship quarantine and zero delay for inspection and release of exported cars.
Fuzhou Customs continues to promote the re-engineering of supervision process, explore intelligent supervision, penetrating verification and automatic operation, and help Jiangyin Port Area to speed up its operation. According to statistics, the rate of on-site machine inspection and direct release in this port area has increased from 10% in 2019 to 80% in the second half of 2023, and the connecting time of trucks has been reduced by 25% on average, and the port operation efficiency and the utilization rate of terminal facilities have been greatly improved.
From the upgrading of infrastructure to the reform and innovation of supervision methods, the continuous improvement of port service capacity has brought a record-breaking breakthrough-the world’s longest mass-produced wind turbine blades are exported in Jiangyin Port Area; 3,998 Fujian-made cars went to sea, setting a new high in the export volume of single-trip cars in Jiangyin Port Area ...
Today, Jiangyin Port Area has opened more than 60 domestic and foreign trade routes, and 13 routes have been selected as “Silk Road Shipping”. The routes extending from the port are like the more woven and dense trade lifeline, which closely connects Fuzhou with the world and outlines the vivid practice of Fuzhou’s continuous promotion of institutional opening up and high-quality development through high-level opening up.
